Day 1 Arrive Paris - a guided orientation tour of Paris upon arrival taking in the Tuileries Gardens, Rue Rivoli, Place Vendome, Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysees , the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower.

Day 2 Paris - Morning guided tour Ile de la Cite, including the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral, and a visit to the exquisitely beautiful Sainte Chapelle. In the afternoon a guided tour of the Musee D’Orsay to see key collections of world-famous impressionist paintings.

Day 3 Paris - This morning a guided visit to the spectacular Palace of Versailles and in the afternoon a guided tour of the remarkable Musee du Louvre takes in the main highlights - the Venus di Milo and the Mona Lisa amongst them.

Day 4 Paris to Loire Valley - Leave Paris and head to Chartres - to visit the amazing Cathedral painted so many times by Monet. Continue into the green and gold landscapes of the Loire Valley - visit Chambord Chateau.

Day 5 Loire Valley - Today we explore some of the famous chateaux featuring Amboise & Chenonceaux as well as visiting a local vineyard.

Day 6 Loire Valley to Dijon - Journey through lush landscapes to Dijon, the former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy is famous for its mustard , but is also a charming and picturesque city.

Day 7 Dijon - Today we dedicate to visiting some of the world’s most famous Vineyards in Burgundy, learn about the wine making process and taste the wines. We also visit the beautiful historic town of Beaune and one of the jewels of Burgundy, l’Hotel Dieu.

Day 8 Dijon to Lyon - Journey this morning to capital of gastronomy Lyon. Enjoy a cookery class followed by tastings and dinner.

Day 9 Lyon to Avignon - Journey this morning to Avignon. Visit the Palace des Papes and the Pont D’Avignon.

Day 10 Avignon - We explore the region of Provence and discover why the luminous quality of its light and colour inspired many painters including Cezanne and Van Gogh. We visit the delightful villages of Les Baux & St Remy de Provence.

Day 11 Avignon to Nice - This morning journey to Aix-en-Provence and visit Cezanne’s studio as well as explore the town. Continue to the glittering resort of Nice - Queen of the Riviera.

Day 12 Nice - This morning we visit the Italianate Old Town Nice & the Flower Market. In the afternoon we head up to Cimiez and visit the wonderful Matisse Museum.

Day 13 Nice (Monaco & Montecarlo) - Truly spectacular scenery unfolds as we take the route along the famous Grande Corniche . We visit Monaco including the Royal Palace as well as Montecarlo with its lush cliff top gardens, grand cafes and opulent casino.

Day 14 Depart Nice - Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
