A splendid tour taking in the green and gold landscapes of some of France’s premier wine regions, their vineyards and chateaux. Chablis, Burgundy,Pouilly, Macon……We have additional tour options that take in the Bordeaux region and the wines of the Loire Valley.

Day 1 Arrive Paris Arrival into Paris . Walking tour taking in the Tuilleries gardens, Musee du Louvre, Ile de la Cite and a visit to ethereally beautiful Sainte Chappelle.

Day 2 Paris Morning visit to Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower. In the afternoon enjoy a cookery class with wine tasting event at a top hotel.

Day 3 Paris /Auxerre Morning drive to Auxerre with a stop to visit Fontainbleau en route . Settle into Auxerre and tour of the historic town

Day 4 Auxerre This morning tour to Chablis and the vine-growing villages of the Auxerre region. We include a vineyard visit with wine tasting of this world-famous wine.

Day 5 Auxerre /Macon Drive to the beautiful medieval village of Vezelay , walking tour of the town. Continue to Autun for a guided tour before arriving Macon.

Day 6 Macon Enjoy a full day tour of the Maconnais region and tour into the Rhone Valley. In Vaux-en-Beaujolais we have wine tasting and visit the vineyards. Also visit Pouilly, Fouisse, Solutre, Vergisson including one other wine tasting session.

Day 7 Macon/Dijon Journey to historic Dijon. Delighful, rich, green and gold landscapes unfold as we take in the wonderful Burgundy wine region. We go along the Cote de Chalon with a vineyard visit and on to the vineyard villages of the Cote de Beaune: Santenay, Puligny-Montrachet, Mersault, Pommard - including a wine-tasting of this region’s best wines. Continue to the beautiful historic town of Beaune including Hotel-Dieu. Continue along the Cote de Nuits to Aloxe-Corton, Nuits-St Georges (cellar visit and wine tasting), Vougeot, Fixin, Chenove. Arrival in Dijon.

Day 8 Dijon A morning guided tour of this historic city. Afternoon free. Evening gourmet dinner with regional wine tasting

Day 9 Dijon / Paris Journey back to Paris today

Day 10 Departure Paris
