| BAPTIST HERITAGE TOUR OF ENGLAND
We follow the history of non-conformism in England and take in those particular sites that are dear to Baptists the world over. Sites relating to the founders of the Baptist faith who strived in those early days against all odds. At the same time we see some of England’s most beautiful countryside and splendid city locations.
Day 1 Arrival London Transfer to our hotel. Afternoon tour of the historic City of London taking in the sites that relate to Baptists - we visit Spurgeon’s College, view Spurgeon’s Tabernacle, visit Bloomsbury Baptist Church and also the masterpiece by Sir Christopher Wren - St Paul’s Cathedral.
Day 2 London Morning tour of the West End including Wesminster Abbey. Afternoon free.
Day 3 London /Northampton Tour to Paulersbury where William Carey was born. Continue to Hackleton to visit the Carey Memorial Chapel . We then continue to Olney to visit the key sites there including a special time of worship and fellowship. Also visit the Cowper and Newton Museum.
Day 4 Northampton Today we focus on the sites important to Baptists throughout the world. We visit Bedford and the birthplace of John Bunyan and also the Bunyan Meeting House and Museum. We also visit Moulton to visit the William Carey Baptist Church as well as the important site of Kettering to visit the Fuller Baptist church . Return to our hotel in Northampton.
Day 5 Northampton /Oxford Journey to Oxford , seat of one of the great English universities. A enjoy a special visit to the key Baptist College - Regent’s Park College and take a walking tour including Christ Church College. Time free to enjoy this unique city.
Day 6 Oxford /London Drive to London this morning . Enjoy a free afternoon.
