Day 1 Depart USA for Italy - Overnight flight from United States to Milan, Italy

Day 2 Arrive Milan - Upon arrival at the airport we will be met by our tour manager and luxury motorcoach. Arrival in Milan. Guided tour includes majestic Duomo square and La Scala Opera House. (D)

Day 3 Milan to Stresa (Italian Lake District) - Morning guided visit includes world famous Santa Maria delle Grazie to see Leonardo da Vinci’s painting ‘The Last Supper’. Afternoon scenic drive to Lake Maggiore and to Stresa at the heart of the Italian Lake District . Dinner and overnight in this exquisite setting. (CB,D)

Day 4 Stresa - We enjoy an excursion on Lake Maggiore by boat to visit Isola Bella and Isola Madre including the beautiful 17th century Borromeo palace with its fairy grottoes and wonderful terraced gardens looking out over the lake. Afternoon is at leisure to explore this delightful resort and its shops. (CB)

Day 5 Stresa to Verona - Leave Stresa for a spectacular scenic drive through the Italian Lake district briefly crossing into Switzerland. The journey includes Lugano, Lake Garda, Sirmione and many world-class beauty spots. Arrival into the walled city of Verona for dinner and overnight. (CB,D)

Day 6 Verona to Venice Mainland - We have a guided tour of the spectacular city of Verona to include the Roman Amphitheatre and Romeo and Juliet’s Balcony. Time at leisure to explore the fabulous historic centre. In the afternoon we continue to Venice mainland. Dinner and overnight. (CB,D)

Day 7 Venice - Full day guided tour of Venice's highlights, including St Mark’s Square, St Mark’s Basilica, the Doges Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. In the afternoon we take a boat ride to visit Murano to see the glass-blowing and then on to the island of Burano, famous for its lace making. Evening dinner. (CB,D)

Day 8 Venice to Innsbruck - Scenic journey through the alps via Bolzano to Innsbruck. Orientation tour of Innsbruck including the famous Olympic Ski Jump and the Little Golden Roof. Dinner and overnight. (CB,D)

Day 9 Innsbruck to Oberammergau - This morning drive to Linderhof Palace to visit the fantastical Baroque Palace and gardens built under the instruction of mad King Ludwig. Continue to the pretty village of Oberammergau with its charming frescoed houses, site of the 2010 passion play for dinner and overnight. (CB,D)

Day 10 Oberammergau - Today we attend the famous Passion Play – a captivating and emotive play, testimony of religious faith but also an outstanding cultural event ! Dinner and overnight. (CB,D)

Day 11 Depart Munich - Transfer to Munich airport for our return flight (CB)
