Oliver Appleyard – General Manager
Born in London, Oliver started his professional travel experience by combining a degree in Business and Tourism; this was followed up by a two year stint working in France for an English tour operator. A fluent French speaker, he has now been working in the UK incoming industry for over 10 years building up strong links with suppliers and has been at Sovereign Tourism since March 2004. His responsibilities include the overall running of the office and generating new business through sales calls and trade shows. |

Jill Hutton – Business Development Manager
Having studied Spanish and management at Leeds University Jill started her career by working overseas for a UK tour operator in Spain, France and Greece. Upon her return to London she spent two years working for a Spanish tour operator in London before joining Sovereign Tourism in 1988. Jill’s responsibilities include managing our key accounts to develop their projects and using her vast knowledge of the UK and Europe to create new and exciting itineraries for our clients.` |

Valda Kampf – Operations Manager
Brought up in the South West of England Valda has travelled extensively around the World, 70 countries to date! Valda’s career started by working in France for a French tour operator in Paris and this inspired her to become a Tour Manager where she spent three years travelling across most parts of Continental Europe. During this time Valda built up a immense knowledge of countries, cultures, attractions and itineraries. A key member of the Sovereign team since 1992 Valda still has a passion for travel and manages our busy Operations department. In addition to this she still manages to keep up her language skills and speaks French, Italian and German. |

Rosie St Mart – Finance Manager
Born in Mauritius Rosie joined Sovereign Tourism in 1987. Rosie is responsible for all aspects of finance within the company. In addition to this role she is also responsible for all our computer systems and technology. |

Valerie Ware – Operations Executive–FITs
As the longest serving member of Sovereign Tourism Valerie has worked at Sovereign Tourism since 1984. Her present role gives her responsibility for all individual bookings. Valerie makes regular visits the London Hotels so as to pass on the most recent changes to our clients. In addition to providing hotel accommodation she will provide services for sightseeing, transfers, evening entertainment and bespoke touring itineraries for individuals and small groups. |

Maire Griffin – Operations Executive
Born in London, Maire has been working at Sovereign Tourism since 1987. Maire brings extensive knowledge and experience to our Operations department and her attention to detail is essential whilst operating large convoluted touring groups such as choirs and orchestras throughout Europe. She is widely travelled throughout Europe and the rest of the World and is a key member of this busy department. |

Lyn Eager – Business Development Executive
Born in London and gaining a degree in Business Studies, Lyn has been working in the UK incoming business since 1992 of which the last 6 years have been with Sovereign Tourism. Lyn’s excellent knowledge of London the UK and Ireland and her passion for travel across Europe brings yet more skill and experience to the team. Lyn now works closely alongside Jill in creating competitive itineraries and proposals to our clients. Her special interest knowledge will diversify from Methodist trails and Baptist pilgrimages to literature and garden tours. |

Jorg Uhlemann – Operations Executive
Born in Neubrandenburg in East Germany Jorg is a key member of our German incoming department. He has spent 2 years working in Australia and has lived in London since 1997 working in hotels and for an incoming tour operator before joining Sovereign Tourism in June 2004. Jorg is a very adaptable member of the team working on both the German and U.S incoming business. He has visited almost every European country and continues his passion for World-wide travel and building his knowledge of European suppliers. |

Marisa Felder – Operations Executive
Born in Zug, Switzerland Marisa was then brought up in Sao Paulo, Brazil for the first ten years of her life. Having completed a degree in London she then joined a tour operator running educational tours across Europe and then working for one of the largest incoming tour operators in London. Marisa joined Sovereign Tourism in November 2005 and operates UK and European tours for our U.S clientele and various groups from Germany. She has a particularly strong knowledge of South West of England and speaks English, German, French and Portuguese. |

Christine Streckewald – Operations Executive
Brought up in Hannover, Germany, following school Christine spent a year in Atlanta, Georgia. She returned to Germany to work for one of the largest tour operators in Germany before coming to work in London. Before joining Sovereign Tourism Christine worked for an incoming tour operator based in London and joined our team in April 2006. Christine has travelled extensively throughout Europe and is also a key member of our German-speaking department, creating and operating UK tours coupled with tours from the U.S. |

Mercedes Nagore – Operations Executive Mercedes was born in Spain; however, she has lived in many countries across the World, which has given her an insight into various cultures and helped her develop the numerous languages that she speaks, including Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian. Mercedes gained a degree in History and Theory of Art at a British University and has since worked in Spain creating tailor-made itineraries for the North American market. Mercedes joined Sovereign Tourism in January 2007 and brings with her a wealth of knowledge of Europe and is a key member of our operations department. |
